| Origin 2017 SR1 is Out! |

Origin SR1 includes a number of new features and bug fixes
In an effort to simplify things, we've made this version available as a full installation package. Rather than applying a "patch" file as you have done in the past, you will (1) download and double-click on an EXE file (available in EXE or ZIP packages) and (2) choose the Repair/Upgrade option, then follow the prompts.
If you own Origin 2017 but have not yet installed SR0, you can skip that and simply install your software using the SR1 EXE. You will not see a Repair/Upgrade option: Just enter your serial number, etc. and follow the prompts.

If you use map imagery in your work, you'll want to read this blog post on importing a Google Map image into Origin and adding it as a background, to an existing graph.
The blog post steps you through a real-world example in which, using Origin's FREE Google Map Import App, you overlay a "bubble map" depicting numbers of netted juvenile salmon, on a map of the Strait of Georgia, off the coast of British Columbia. Download the sample OPJ file and follow along!
