Origin 9.1 Service Release (SR) 1 is now available. You can view new features and changes as well as bug fixes here.

Dr. Robert Green uses Origin in his research on the suitability of materials for Optoelectronic applications.  With Origin he can import data in many different formats. His use of X-ray absorption and scattering techniques on the samples yields vast amounts of data. To speed up data analysis and save hours of manual effort, he uses the analysis templates and batch processing features in Origin. Additionally Dr. Green finds the stacked plots feature very useful for comparing sets of data.

Dr. Green says: “Origin has a large amount of features which allow you to display data in a very professional way. I have used Origin to create graphs and other figures for every one of my scientific publications…. I use at least some of the multitude of various data processing features available in Origin on a daily basis.”

Tangent Gadget in File Exchange

A new Tangent Gadget is available for Origin 9.1 users in File Exchange. This gadget can plot tangent lines along select portions of the curve. Smoothing methods are provided for handling noisy data.
