Check out our European Training and Consultancy Center!
3/29/99
The European Training and Consultancy Center for Origin was developed to provide better service to our increasing number of Origin users throughout Europe. The Center, also known as the Additive Academy, is located in Frankfurt, Germany and is headed by the field engineers and technical staff at Additive GmbH. The staff at Additive works closely with the local dealers of each country to provide a wide range of services to Origin users in many different languages. The Center can provide training or workshop seminars on Origin-which can be held at the Center or at your location. An experienced consulting engineer can assist you in designing a solution for a specific problem. Sample applications can be provided to help you find new ways to analyze data by exploring other examples. Engineers will also be able to help you develop solutions based on LabTalk, C++, and Origin Professional. A hotline with a FAQ database in both English and German is available for quick support. Registered users can access this service at +49 6172 590520. You can also visit the Center's website at http://www.additive-academy.de.

Origin Aids Investigation of Energy Production of the Heart
3/15/99
Researchers led by Dr. Rolf Brandes at Loyola University Chicago, Illinois are making major progress in understanding how energy production is regulated in the heart when energy consumption suddenly changes. With the help of Microcal's ORIGIN, researchers were able to substantially reduce the time required to analyze the data. Based upon procedures and terminology of scientific researchers, Origin was found extremely intuitive to use. At the same time, Origin provided all of the analysis tools required by Loyola researchers, particularly the Nonlinear Curve Fitting tools and extensive multivariate regression analysis capabilities. See the complete article in the February issue of Pharmaceutical Laboratory.
